Founder and CEO
Dr. Justin is the founder and CEO of Research Methodologist. As a college professor for many years, has recognized the need for high quality, affordable, and customized research coaching for students and consulting for faculty and private sector clients. Dr. Justin is an award-winning scholar, educator, and author, with experience in education, industry, and consulting roles. He has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals along with being the author of two books. His popular textbook, Using Statistics for Better Business Decisions, has been adopted by numerous graduate programs in the U.S. and abroad. He also has an active research agenda with numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals, focusing primarily on applying quantitative methods to problems in business, management, and operations. He completed post-graduate studies in applied statistics from Penn State University, and also holds a doctorate degree from Walden University, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and an MS from University of Arkansas. His undergraduate studies were completed at the University of North Florida.
Methodologist and Coach
Dr. Candace is a research methodologist with extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research design, implementation, analysis, and dissemination. In the past two years, Dr. Candace has presented research at 40+ academic conferences, published 5 peer reviewed academic articles, and published a book.
Dr. Tara has a background in politics, policy, and education with an emphasis on research of vulnerable populations. Her Bachelor’s degree is in Political Science from the University of Florida. Her master’s degree is in International Affairs from Ohio University, where she studied Latin American politics and spent several years traveling to Nicaragua. Her PhD is in Educational Leadership from Keiser University where she studied higher education for those who are refugees. Tara’s research has focused on education for vulnerable populations in the United States and in the developing world. She has examined the importance of higher education for persons in crisis, specifically, refugees, immigrants, and the internally displaced. She is passionate about expanding educational access to all populations, and believes that in an emergency (war, natural disaster, or persecution), education is as necessary to the long-term survivability of a population as is land or shelter. Tara has been in higher education administration since 2002, serving in varying capacities such as Director of Academics, Academic Dean, Department Chair, and Continuing Education Director. She has taught political science courses online since 2000 and serves as a dissertation mentor, consultant, and committee member. She thoroughly enjoys working with doctoral learners in their research process, and finds the creative process of guiding them in designing their research methodology fascinating.
Dissertation Journey & Motivational Coach
Dr. Tessa is co-founder of The Varsity Classroom with 20 years of experience as an educator, coach/athletic director, dean, board member, and credentialed program master teacher. Dr. Tessa’s research interests include the examination of teacher attrition issues, administrative support practices, and the improvement of induction/mentor programs to increase teacher retention rates. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University, MA in Counselor Education from San Jose State University, and BA Communication Studies from San Diego State University. As a former Dissertation Success Institiute Boot Camp Member, Dr. Tessa is passionate about motivating other doctoral candidates to the finish line as the Institute’s Dissertation Journey Coach.
